What we do currently know about the Nintendo 3DS game system.
The Nintendo 3DS System will weight approximately 8 ounces and when close will be 5.3 inches wide by 2.9 inches long and .8 inches tall. The touch screen will be a 3.53-inch widescreen LCD display, enabling 3D view without the need for special glasses and will have an 800x240 pixel resolution. It will have 400 pixels allocated for each eye to enable 3D viewing. It launch with a game card of 2 GB maximum. It will have 3 cameras, one inner camera and two outer cameras with 640x480 pixel resolution.
The sound will come from stereo speakers positioned to the left and right of the top of the screen.
It will also contain parental controls similar to the Nintendo DSi system. The Nintendo website shows the Nintendo 3DS system in what would seem to be 3 colors; a bright blue, red and in grey.
What we still don't know about the Nintendo 3DS system is what are the software/games will come with.
Elmo and Cookie Monster educational games are coming for your preschooler on the Wii. Sesame Street has two games being released: Elmo's A-to-Zoo Adventure and Cookie's Counting Carnival. Both games are geared toward teaching your child the basic letters and learning to count. Elmo's A-to-Zoo Adventure features mini-games that teaches your child letters which include letter identification, letter sounds and word families and the game difficulty adapts to how well your child is mastering the games. Cookie's Counting Carnival teachers numbers, along with identification, counting, shapes and pattern recognition and also adapts the game to your child's skills. Both games allow for a second Wii Remote join in the game and provide assistance to your child. These are great games for you to not only interact with your child but provide them additional chances to learn while enjoying themselves.
The Wii Games Summer 2010 Event begins on July 16, 2010. The event will allow players to get together and competition against each other. There are several different locations where to where the games will be held.

Just before the Holidays, the New Super Mario Bros for the Wii is coming out on November 15, 2009. The playable characters include Mario, Luigi and Toad. Players can use the motion abilities of the Wii Remote controller. The game is rated E for everyone.
